Founded in 2006, boMake Rural Projects is a community-based organization that supports women and their families in rural areas of the Kingdom of Eswatini. To date, we have impacted the lives of more than 20,000 community members. Our goal remains unchanged today: to build healthy and successful communities in Eswatini that are engaged, self-reliant and resilient.
boMake Rural Projects works in three key areas in rural communities: Education, Health and Sustainable Livelihoods. Gender and leadership underpin all our projects. Women take the lead in identifying the needs of their communities and mobilise community members to work with our team.
Our history and relationship with Gone Rural, a Swazi handcraft company, and our focus on addressing the needs identified by rural women and their communities make us unique.
Empowered women and resilient families in thriving communities
